Out of the blue

Out of the Blue is a recently formed group characterized by the stylistic magnetism, where the passion for groove and improvisation is the common denominator.

The musicians consisting the band met in Rotterdam Conservatorium (CODARTS), where they studied Jazz, World music and Modern music.

After years of sharing musical experiences in various different projects and being friends, it was a natural result to create this choral project, where the members present their own original works in the rehearsal studio where this union of imaginative and talented artists collaborate, work and create, in search of a distinctive, warm and original sound.

All types of influences, from Jazz to Pop, filtered through Afro Cuban beat, funk or Brazilian music, are blended together to create this exciting cocktail which is OUT OF THE BLUE.

Due donne. Alla televisione. Risvegliate ad una coscienza. Violentata, deturpata, stordita eccome.
Perché “spegnere la tv oggi non serve, il vero atto innovativo è guardarla” 1.
Una riflessione umiliante su come le donne vengono rappresentate in televisione: contraffatte e
irreali. Volti spietatamente ricondotti a maschere dall'invasività della chirurgia estetica, all'insegna
della dittatura della “perfezione”. Corpi luccicanti gonfiati a dismisura, confezionati e in vendita
perpetua.
Ammiccanti conduttrici vallette sadomaso veline sculettanti paperette mute schedine strizzate
cuoche imbellettate e chi più ne ha ne metta: pigolanti e sghignazzanti, rese telegeniche a garantire
ruoli umilianti. Un impero del sesso ventiquattroresuventiquattro.
L'urgenza del recupero della poetica del corpo femminile, quello autentico. Di un'Estetica. Di una
nuova definizione del Femminile.

1 Nel maggio del 2009, Lorella Zanardo ha messo in rete un documentario: “Il corpo delle donne”, con lo scopo di
innalzare il livello di consapevolezza sull'immagine delle donne nella televisione italiana. Lavoro dal quale si è
sviluppato il suo libro “Il corpo delle donne” (Feltrinelli 2010): uno di quelli che tutte le donne dovrebbero
assolutamente leggere. Una Bibbia di genere.
